1. Collection of personal information
To serve you better and understand your needs and interests, Team Law may collect and use personal information. For example, when you order products or services, request information, subscribe to marketing or support materials, or register yourself for any Team Law forum (see: Forum Rules, incorporated here by reference) or service, we may ask you to provide personal information to complete the transaction. The types of personal information you provide to us may include: contact information (such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.), financial information (such as your credit card number, etc.) and/or other unique information (such as user IDs and passwords, billing and transaction information, product and service preferences, contact preferences, etc.). All such information will be used only to provide the service requested and or to contact you regarding Team Law services and/or opportunities.
In addition to the information you provide, Team Law may also collect information during your visit to a Team Law website through our automatic data collection tools, which include cookies and other commonly used information-gathering tools. These tools collect certain standard information that your browser sends to our website such as your browser type and language, access times, and the address of the website from which you arrived at an Team Law website. They may also collect information about your Internet Protocol (IP) address, clickstream behavior (i.e. the pages you view, the links you click, and other actions you take in connection with Team Law websites) and product information. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web, allowing Web servers to locate and identify your computer. Computers use IP addresses to communicate on the Internet, allowing users to browse and shop. Team Law may also use some of these automatic data collection tools in connection with certain e-mail messages sent from Team Law’s servers.
2. How we use your information
The information Team Law collects to understand your needs and interests helps Team Law deliver a consistent and personalized experience. For example, Team Law may use your information to
- assist you in completing a transaction or order;
- communicate with you about products and services;
- provide service and support;
- update you on new services and benefits;
- provide personalized promotional offers;
- select content to be communicated to you;
- personalize some Team Law websites;
- allow you to participate in forums, surveys, etc.
Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Credit card information and other sensitive personal information required to process a credit decision is not used for any other purpose.
3. How we share your information
Team Law will never sell, rent or lease or otherwise willingly provide personal information obtained from or through you to others.
Team Law retains service providers and suppliers to deliver complete products, services and customer solutions and to assist Team Law with delivery of products and services. These providers and suppliers include, for example, PayPal, providers of customer support and live-help, automated data processors, and shipping agents. Suppliers and service providers are required by contract to keep confidential the information received on behalf of Team Law and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for Team Law.
Except as described in this Statement, Team Law will not share the personal information you provide to Team Law with non-Team Law third parties without your permission, unless to comply with a court order.
4. Children's privacy
Team Law does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 and does not target its websites to children under 13. We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests and request that children under 13 receive written permission from their parents for their children to access our Open Forum system.
5. Keeping your personal information secure
Team Law takes seriously the trust you place in us. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information, Team Law utilizes appropriate physical, technical and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
6. Hyperlinks to Amazon
Hyperlinks on Team Law's site that take the reader to Amazon, where they can acquire a referenced: product, book, movie, etc., provide Team Law with compensation for referring you to the product. When such links take you to Amazon, Team Law is supposed to receive a referral fee. Team Law exclusively uses such fees to acquire more books, etc. from Amazon. We do not provide Amazon with any contact information or other data from your experience with Team Law. The only information Amazon receives drom Team Law is the Amazon assigned affiliate code yuou will see in the URL address at the end of the hyperlink.
7. Changes to this statement
If we change our privacy statement, we will post the revised statement here, with an updated revision date. If we make significant changes to our statement, we may also notify you by other means, such as sending an e-mail or posting a notice on our Most Recent Updates page.
